Pair of Louis XV Cabriolet Armchairs with Queen - XIX

Pair of Louis XV convertible armchairs, Queen, Walnut solid.
They are richly carved on their entire structure, the backrest is decorated with a central shell and "bedside rolled up".
The armrests are adorned with Acanthe leaf decorations and armrest stands "whiplash"; the cross in front is decorated with foliage and flower on a sheet of godronné.
They rest on 4 feet strongly curved, carved and molded.
The squared backs and seats have been completely redone with straps, animal hair and springs and covered with a high quality fabric called "Villandry cream".
Period: Middle nineteenth.

Perfect condition after restoration, stripping and waxed patina in our workshop.
